Sixth Year Ecology Field Trip To Killarney

Sixth Years, along with their teachers Ms. Aoife Culhane, Ms Caroline O’Grady and Ms Heather McCarthy, all spend a very enjoyable and worthwhile day in Killarney on an Ecology Field Trip as part of their course work in Biology.

Eco Unesco visit Desmond College

Eco Unesco visited our school, they arrived in an Electric Car, this was an fantastic opportunity for our students to see the latest developments in environmental innovation. They participated in a workshop where they learnt how their everyday activities can make such a difference to our planet.

During National Tree Week in March, our students planted twelve tree saplings which were distributed by Limerick County Council. Gaelcholaiste Uí Chonba participated in the An Taisce National Spring Clean. The first second and third year students put on the rubber gloves and gave their school a face lift!
