On Monday May 8th , the day finally arrived that 47 students from 2nd year and TY along with their teachers Ms Cregan, Ms Fahy, Ms Corkery, Ms Broderick, Mr O Leary and Mr Russell set off to the beautiful city of Barcelona.
Our flight departed Shannon and before we knew it, we had arrived in sunny Barcelona and clear, blue skies we knew it was going to be a holiday to remember. We had a jam packed itinerary for the week, which gave us the opportunity to explore the wonderful sights and attractions on offer in Barcelona. We got an insight into the cultural wonder of La Sagrada Familia , the amazing architectural masterpiece designed by Gaudi. We visited the Olympic Stadium and the Gothic Quarter, explored the vibrant shopping area of Las Ramblas and spent a few euros along the way! For the soccer fans amongst us, we had a self guided tour of the amazing Camp Nou football stadium, home to FC Barcelona, an experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our evenings were filled with fun in the pool and shopping in Salou. On our last day we travelled to the thrill seekers paradise of Port Aventura and Ferrari Land, an experience none of our students will ever forget. A sincere thank you to all our wonderful teachers Ms Cregan , Ms Fahy, Ms Broderick, Ms Corkery, Mr O Leary and Mr Russell for accompanying us on this amazing trip.
