Jack O’ Connor and Diarmuid Curtin, 6th Year Students in Desmond College, and the 2017 recipients of the Gorta Self Help Africa Award attended the Gorta annual conference in Dublin on Thursday 16th Feburary 2017.
The students got to meet previous winners of the award as well as look at projects from other schools. Ahead of their trip to Africa, Jack & Diarmuid were reminded of the immense opportunity that their double award winning project in the BT Young Scientist & Technology competition offers the developing world.
