Elma Walsh of the #LiveLife Foundation gave a talk at Desmond College on 11th December 2014 where she was presented with a cheque for €320.00 that the Desmond College students raised

On Thursday the 11th of December, Desmond College welcomed The Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation to our school. Elma Walsh, Donal’s mother came and spoke to students to keep her son’s inspirational anti-suicide message alive. Students and teachers were touched and moved by Donal’s story.

This was a fantastic initiative undertaken by the Transition Year students in Desmond College as part of their Young Social Innovators project. The students are working extremely hard to promote positive mental health within their school and local community. They have held many fundraising events so far this year and they were very proud to present the money that they had raised to Donal’s mother to help the Livelife Foundation continue their great work.
