Students from Desmond College attended the Inaugural Model Start Up Conference in UCC on 18th November last. This was a non-partisan global leadership event for youths where the objective was to educate the decision makers and leaders of the future and help them to develop interest and skills in addressing high level local and international issues jointly and to create an awareness and understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced across the nations in starting & growing a business.
The students took part in several workshops and listened to guest speakers Ciara Judge – Winner Google World Science Fair, Walther Morales Rios – Ministry of Economy/ Guatemala and Professor John O’ Halloran – Vice-President for Teaching & Learning UCC.
