First Year students from Desmond College, under the guidance of History teachers Margaret O Mahony and Mary Ann O’Brien, travelled to Buttevant recently to explore a recent Archaeological find.
Archaeologists have made a number of discoveries in the Co.Cork town — including the remains of a town wall, a cobbled street and an underground chamber all dating back to medieval times. The student thoroughly enjoyed the trip and got a real insight into the life of an Archaeologist.
