On Wednesday December 1st 2010, a group of 64 lucky Second Year students and even luckier teachers departed for Paris amid ferocious weather conditions.

Not to be outdone, they were one of only three flights to depart Dublin airport on the night.

Christmas time in Paris gave the enthusiastic Second year students the opportunity to enjoy the magical atmosphere, the lights, Santa and the giant Christmas Tree in EuroDisney.

A first time for most they experienced visits to the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, a stroll along the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, a boat trip on the Seine and of course a trip right to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

It was effortless enjoyment for all especially as the unusual occurance of snow added to the atmosphere.

Students still had time to cram in some pre-Christmas shopping before returning home to Newcastle West.
