On Saturday the 22nd of April, Leaving Cert Student, Emily Duffy, travelled to Switzerland for the Swiss Talent Forum. There she represented the BT Young Scientist alongside delegates from 19 other European countries.
This year at the forum the theme was “Fostering the Next Entrepreneur”. The participants worked alongside Swiss start-ups to come up with innovative solutions to some of the entrepreneurial challenges they face.
The event was composed of panel discussions, breakout sessions and group work. At the end of the four days the teams presented their solutions to the companies CEOs and to business professionals.
Emily is an outstanding student who is a passionate entrepreneur and a hard-working, dedicated student.
Emily had this to say about her experience in Switzerland: “I feel that I have gained a lot from this experience as I got to meet many young people from around Europe who I know will go on to be the next entrepreneurs, leaders and scientists.”
