Hairspray the Musical
Auditions are currently open for the following positions involved in the production of the show. If you are interested in any of the positions give your name into reception as soon as possible. Closing date for entries is Friday 15th April 2016.
Stage Manager
One stage manager is required for the duration of the production. The role will involve assisting the musical director Catherine Upton and the two musical producers. Your job will include several duties such as managing rehearsals, actors, props and costume fitting. Good communication and organisation skills are essential.
Producer
Two producers are required to work in collaboration with the musical director Catherine Upton. You will oversee the activities involved in the production of the musical and set goals in order to keep the production on schedule. You will be involved in the overall financial and managerial functions of the production. Excellent time management skills are essential.
Dance Captain
One dance captain is required to liaise with the musical director Catherine Upton to work on all aspects of the choreography and dance rehearsals. Good knowledge of dance and musical appreciation is essential.
Stage Crew
A stage crew consisting of approximately 15 students is required. Their work includes setting up the scenery, lights, sound, props, rigging, and special effects for the production. Excellent organization skills are essential.
