Five past pupils from Desmond College were thrilled to be presented with scholarship awards at Thomand Park on Wednesday 17th February. The five students are now all studying for their degrees in LIT.
Guest speaker at the event was rugby legend, Paul O’Connell, who imparted some very wise and inspirational words to the group assembled.
The interviewed based scholarship programme aims to help support young people through their third level education.
The scholarship programme is about much more than covering fees; the programme also provides mentoring and guidance to support the students through their programme of study, thus ensuring they reach their true potential.
Desmond College is delighted to link with LIT on this programme, we sincerely thank the sponsors involved and wishes our past pupils well in their future studies.
