The final of the Eileen Carmody Memorial Cup was played in Desmond College on Sunday 1st March. Rebecca Delee past pupil of Desmond College and County Camogie Star refereed the U14 match between Newcastle West and Newmarket on Fergus where Newcastle West had a convincing win. Aoife Corbett, Iris Kennelly and Breda Magner, current students of Desmond College, were part of the Newcastle West team.
